The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is Canada’s leading national land conservation organization, working to protect the country’s valuable natural areas and the plants and animals they sustain. NCC is a private, non-profit group that partners with individuals, corporations, foundations, communities and governments to achieve the direct protection of ecologically significant land and water through property securement and long-term stewardship of our portfolio of lands. Since 1962, NCC and its partners have helped to protect more than 2.6 million acres of land (one million hectares) coast to coast.NCC has been engaged in the South Okanagan since the early 1970s, partnering to protect lands such as Skaha Bluffs, Twin Lakes Ranch, Osoyoos Oxbows and the Sage and Sparrow Conservation Project.
